Pumice Creek Lodge is situated on the Alaska Peninsula, 376 miles southwest of Anchorage and 86 miles from King Salmon, making us one of Alaska's most remote fishing lodges. We are a long ways away from the crowd but easy to get to with turbo-prop aircraft by Lake Clark Air out of Anchorage, Merrill Field.
We fish numerous clear water streams which flow over over volcanic stones into the Bering Sea from the Aleutian Mountain Range. Pumice Creek Lodge is located in the heart of the primal beauty of Alaska, far from the crowded grounds of Bristol Bay and the Kenai Peninsula.
Our comfortable facilities are designed to accommodate up to six to eight guests per week. Individuals, couples, and families are all welcome at Pumice Creek - you’ll enjoy exclusive use of the lodge. We offer two duplex style guest cabins and a six person bunkhouse. The rooms have comfortable, cozy beds with plenty of heat and piping hot showers. Our lodge has wireless internet access. Pumice Creek Lodge is situated between two streams that all five species of salmon run, along with Arctic char and a few rainbow trout in between. With a short fly out, we can add several more species. There are no other lodges in the area, and the only other things fishing walk on all fours.

Came up with my brother to experience the "Great Alaskan Experience" - and got plenty of that and more. The fishing - Well over 30 kings in four days. Wildlife viewing - 13 bears, moose and caribou. The food - home cooked meals any grandma could have been proud of. Best of all the people that make it happen. Gary, Rudy, Cinder and Johnny. Gary, the flight into the crater and up the valleys are memories I soon will not forget.

The best, absolutely the best. My thanks to Rudy for his hard work and perseverance. Thanks to Gary for your ability and knowledge to put it together and make it work – perfectly. I hope you take this as the ultimate compliment - "we will be back."

This was my first "Northern Exposure!" What a blast! I will definitely carry this experience with me for the rest of my life. And should it fade I will have a magnificent trophy King Salmon looking down at me to bring me back to the thrill and keep the spirit alive.
