Pumice Creek Lodge offers anglers of all skill levels a fishing trip of a lifetime on the remote Alaska Peninsula. We open in June as the king salmon start their run up stream. We’ll fish for these 20 to 40 pound monsters relentlessly, so you can be assured to catch strong, dime-bright fish. While you’re fishing for king salmon, there’s also many opportunities to catch red salmon, and even some rainbows up to ten pounds. Rainbow trout are catch and release only, so bring your camera along to capture the moment.
As the season progresses Arctic char move in. The action on fly is nonstop, sometimes producing as much as 100 fish per day. Come around August, to experience one of the best silver fisheries in Alaska. Silver salmon are one of the harder fighting fish. These aggressive fish will hit a fly or destroy conventional tackle at will. They pack into the lower stream mouths and offer fantastic, non-stop excitement. Fishing times are mid August into October. Visit our fishing Gallery page to see all our guests’ great catches.
In the evening, you’ll return to our remote alaskan lodge for a meal of the day's catch or a choice grilled New York steak. After dinner, relax with your friends and enjoy a walk around camp to enjoy the incredible views of the Aleutian Mountain Range. Or, if golf is your game, you can use our landing area as a driving range. Customer service and camaraderie are of utmost importance to us at Pumice Creek Lodge. Give us a call to learn more about the fishing, the lodging, or anything you have questions about.

Came up with my brother to experience the "Great Alaskan Experience" - and got plenty of that and more. The fishing - Well over 30 kings in four days. Wildlife viewing - 13 bears, moose and caribou. The food - home cooked meals any grandma could have been proud of. Best of all the people that make it happen. Gary, Rudy, Cinder and Johnny. Gary, the flight into the crater and up the valleys are memories I soon will not forget.

The best, absolutely the best. My thanks to Rudy for his hard work and perseverance. Thanks to Gary for your ability and knowledge to put it together and make it work – perfectly. I hope you take this as the ultimate compliment - "we will be back."

This was my first "Northern Exposure!" What a blast! I will definitely carry this experience with me for the rest of my life. And should it fade I will have a magnificent trophy King Salmon looking down at me to bring me back to the thrill and keep the spirit alive.
